Diani Beach is a huge stretch of beautiful white sand lying around 30 kms to the south of Mombasa. It is renowned as one of the best beaches in the world. The beach is washed by the Indian Ocean which is always warm and very safe for bathing. Diani is the most developed beach on Kenya's South Coast but compared to the coasts of Europe it is still relatively quiet and on some days virtually deserted. The beach is fringe by the reef with some excellent diving opportunities with other water sports being available at various places along the beach. Although many visitors choose to stay in their hotels it is well worth getting out to explore. A morning walk along the beach is the perfect way to start the day or perhaps a later stroll along to a beach bar for a drink and seafood lunch would appeal. Whatever you do this resort is incredibly laid back and relaxed.
